The light passing through the bright area passes through the slit and is received by the photosensitive element. The arrangement of the photosensitive element corresponds to the code track one by one. The signal output by the photosensitive element, the former is "1", the latter is "0", when the code wheel rotates in different positions, the combination of the output signal of the photosensitive element reflects a certain regular digital quantity, representing the angle of the code wheel axis displacement.

Each position of the absolute encoder corresponds to a certain digital code, so its indication is only related to the starting and ending positions of the measurement, and has nothing to do with the intermediate process of the measurement.
